Ceiling, Union Station II

f/2.9, 1/20 sec., ISO-200, 07:33 PM, Washington, DC. Loved this ceiling very much. I tried this one with the framing by the railing of one the second level walk ways. The white balance was set on cloudy/shade.

Rob, this is an EXCELLENT 'Elements of Design' image!! It is MOST deserving of it's Second Place win, AND, POTD honour!! Hearty congratulations on both, for this very well seen AND taken shot... I'm just wondering if you happened to make any adjustments or enhancements to your original image (in PS, or similar)...and, if so, could you please tell us what you did? Thanks, Rob!! :-)I had also noticed the effect that Susana T. speaks of above - "a really cool visual effect when scrolling the computer screen up and down really fast"!! (I couldn't have described it any better myself, Susana!!) Had you noticed that, Rob?!! IT REALLY IS COOL!!! ;-) #1395419

Carolyn & Susanaa, I noticed the effect of the scolling...pretty cool!
Carolyn I did some perspective work to try to even this out a bit, it is still not as centered as I would like it to be. I shot it handheld, but I must have been steadied against something to have had it come out so clean. Other than the perspective work and crop I did my normal processing ( Layer adjustments for levels, brightness and congrast, hue and saturation, USM, resize, USM). I will try to post a resize and rotated only version of the original tonight.
THanks again, everyone! RoB #1395450
