Back Patio

Finalist
Found this in Santa Fe in March, 2011 -- these objects had obviously been on this small, deeply shaded patio area a very long time. I had to lean over a barrier and shoot around a corner to get it. The light/shadow contrast was extreme so I created five exposures of the image digitally and combined them in Photomatix to see if I could salvage the shot. I like the way this experiment turned out -- much better than I dared hope.

Wonderful Finalist (and the story of its creation is too.) Photomatix has 'saved' some of my old ones too. That was such a smart move on your part, because the whole scene was worth all the extra effort.
