Been There - Done That

Tikrit, Iraq
An old stray tomcat that showed up only occasionally seeking a handout. He had more scars than you could imagine, pieces of ear missing and infected bloodshot eyes. We nicknamed him "LUCKY". But unfortunately we found him dead one morning lying on the desert floor near a trash dump.

Love the emotion! Great capture! #5415633Nadya Johnson January 29, 2008
Poor old Lucky! He does look seasoned though, and hopefully had a happy life, at least some of the time. It isn't only foreign countries which are suffering this problem. The abandoned animal syndrome is getting EXTREME in the States right now, due to the high foreclosure rate. This is a sad thing. In more ways than one! But it's a great capture Jim - with a message, besides. #5415764Sandra R. Alvey January 30, 2008
